Ask Meltham

30th September to 30th November 2024

Five years on from the first Ask Meltham, Meltham Town Council want to hear what you feel about your local area now, and what progress you think we’ve made together.

From 16 January to 14 February, your Dewsbury East ward councillors want to know what really matters to you in Chickenley and Earlsheaton. Attend the launch event, one of the drop-in sessions, or participate online.

Ask Walpole

23rd August to 10th September 2021

We asked local people what life in Walpole is like. Council officers, our partners and local volunteers have been out and about in Walpole talking with citizens, and people could also take part online. 100 people participated.

Batley – Our town centre

We’re sharing the issues and ideas we’ve heard from people in Batley. More citizens have also been getting involved during 2022 to help prioritise the ideas and share their own.

The Big Local Conversation

July 2019 to February 2020

There were activities in Deighton, Sheepridge, Bradley, Fartown, Fixby and Cowcliffe. Organised by Ashbrow ward councillors and volunteers from local organisations. Participants could also request a home visit or take part online.

8th to 24th October 2019

We asked you about life in Shelley. Local volunteers and staff from Kirklees Council have been out and about in Shelley. We also held drop-in events, home visits and the option of taking part online. Shelley Community Association are using the results to update their village plan.
