Listening to Birstall

We asked you about Birstall

We asked citizens some questions about what life in Birstall, Fieldhead, Cambridge Road and Nova is like. Local councillors, volunteers from Birstall and staff from Kirklees Council were out and about in the area in September and October 2019. We struck up conversations at community groups, meetings and local venues and we held some drop-in events. Participants were also welcome to request a home visit, or take part online.

Listening to Birstall results

What happens next?

There will be some sessions in early 2020 to share the results with citizens in Birstall. Councillors, volunteers and staff will then use what we learn to help create an action plan. This will say what people think about Birstall now and will make some suggestions for the future. What we learn about Birstall will also be used to apply for funding to help improve the area.
