We’re pleased to be supporting our town centre regeneration colleagues at Kirklees Council and local councillors, who want to find out more about what residents, visitors and local business owners think of Heckmondwike town centre.
We all want to see our town centres revitalised and to do this we really need to know what people think about them.
Kirklees Council are investing in Heckmondwike town centre, as part of our small town centres funding. We’d really like to hear what people think about their town centre, to help decide how these funds can best be used.
We’re using the Place Standard tool to hear people’s experiences and ideas. It’s a way of helping to get conversations going about any place, by using some simple questions. You might have something to say about improving access or facilities, being environmentally friendly, or ways of welcoming children and families to the town centre.
The activities in Heckmondwike town centre are running from 4th October to 8th November 2021 and are supported by the Heckmondwike ward councillors.
The more people who take part, the more we’ll learn about what really matters to people who visit, live in or work in Heckmondwike town centre. Citizens can take part in local conversations, join in online or complete a printed copy of our questionnaire.
