Investing in our town centres

We all want to see our town centres revitalised. Our town centres provide a range of business, cultural, leisure and local retail facilities and are also areas of local growth. Kirklees Council are investing £1.5m in Batley town centre, as part of our small town centres funding. We are also investing in other ways.

We know that how our towns look and feel is important in attracting people to visit them. We want our towns to be clean, environmentally friendly, and welcoming for children and families.

Your contribution to ‘Batley – Our town centre’, is helping to inform the improvements to Batley town centre through the £1.5m Kirklees Council are investing. Many of the ideas you have shared have shaped the Batley Blueprint.
