Look out for Meltham Town Councillors and volunteers, who will be talking with people in Meltham from now until 26th October. We’re aiming to find out what citizens think of life in the area. We’re really keen to to reach out and involve more people in sharing ideas for the area. You can tell us about anything that matters to you.
Ask Meltham 2024 is the 30th ‘How good is our place?’ activity in Kirklees, with Meltham being the first place to undertake the activity for the second time. To do this, we’ll be using a tool called the Place Standard. This is a way of helping to get conversations going about any place (it could be your street, neighbourhood or town), by using some simple questions.
The activities in Meltham are running from 30th September to 26th October 2024. The more people who take part, the more we will all learn about what really matters to people in the area. Citizens can take part online, but town councillors and volunteers will also be out and about in Meltham, Helme, Wilshaw, Meltham Mills and Healey Houses and running drop-in sessions.
Meltham Town Councillors hope the results will give a voice to citizens and encourage more people to get involved in shaping the future of their local place.

Greens end road between Bartholomew church and church hall to west gate, is a one way road parking allowed on left only, there is at present a single continuous yellow line on the right, which has parking restrictions which i believe should be uprated to double as there is much parking in progress at present even at night on the bend just past butchers/sandwich shop, needs dealing with ASAP before an accident occurs.
