Look out for local volunteers, Birstall and Birkenshaw ward councillors and council staff, who will be talking with people in Birkenshaw in September and October 2022. We’re aiming to find out what citizens think of life in the area. We’re really keen to hear from you.
Listening to Birkenshaw is encouraging people to think about their unique local place and share their experiences and ideas for the future. You can tell us about anything that matters to you about life in Birkenshaw.
To do this, we’ll be using a tool called the Place Standard. This is a way of helping to get conversations going about any place (it could be your street, neighbourhood or town), by using some simple questions.
The activities in Birkenshaw are running from 19th September to 16th October 2022.
The more people who take part, the more we will all learn about what really matters to people in the area. Citizens can take part online, but council staff and volunteers will also be out and about in Birkenshaw and running drop in sessions.
Birstall and Birkenshaw ward councillors hope the results will give a voice to local citizens and encourage more people to get involved in shaping the future of their local place.
