We’re getting together with lots of local organisations in Honley to find out what citizens think of life in the area. It’s part of our new approach to citizen engagement, which is all about having more conversations (not consultations) and working together in our unique local places.
The Ask Honley activities get under way on Friday 25th October 2019 and run until Friday 22nd November 2019. During this time, Friends of Honley volunteers will be out and about talking to people in the area, supported by the Democracy Service at Kirklees Council.
Participating organisations include Honley Library, Honley Civic Society, Honley Village Community Trust, Friend To Friend, churches, businesses, youth club and schools.
We want to hear your views, which volunteers will use to make sure that their local action plan reflects the priorities identified by Honley’s residents, businesses and local groups. The information will also be available on this website for other organisations to use.
Please look out for the Ask Honley volunteer team, come along to a drop-in event, request a home visit or take part online. You can find out more about how to get involved on the Ask Honley web pages:
