Volunteers from Pride in Linthwaite and staff from Kirklees Council talked to local citizens about what life is like in Cowlersley. We used a tool called the “Place Standard”, which is a way of helping to get conversations going about any place (it could be your street, neighbourhood or town), by using some simple questions.
We talked to groups, individuals and businesses. The discussions took place in community venues such as Cowlersley Primary School and Milnsbridge Bowling Club, on the streets in Cowlersley and at drop-in events at Ruddi’s Retreat Cafe.
citizens took part in the conversations and completed Place Standard assessments.
