Ask Chick & Earlsheaton Results

We asked you about life in Chick & Earlsheaton

The Dewsbury East councillors, supported by volunteers and council staff, asked local people what they think about Chickenley and Earlsheaton. We asked people who live in, work in or visit Chickenley and Earlsheaton about what works now, how things might change in the future and what matters most the them. We used a tool called the ‘Place Standard’ which encourages conversations about your local place, by using some simple questions.

Who participated

Over 350 people took part in our Jan/Feb 2025 conversations about life in Chick & Earlsheaton. We now want to share the results with you and ask your views on the priority actions for the next 3 years.

The actions will be part of the Ask Chick & Earlsheaton Action Plan, working with the local community and partners.
