Town councillors, volunteers from Meltham and staff from Kirklees Council talked to people about life in Meltham, Helme and Wilshaw.. We asked people who live in, work in or visit Meltham about what works now, how things might change in the future and what matters most to them. We used a tool called the “Place Standard” which encourages conversations about your local place, by using some simple questions.
Who participated?
We talked with people Volunteers talked with people in The Carlile, Meltham Library, Sports Complex, Morrisons, Crossroads Centre, Wilshaw Village Hall, local parks and groups. We met with young people at Crossroads youth drop in, Honley High, Helme, Meltham CE, and Meltham Moor Primary schools. 303 assessments were completed online.
